Dr. Meng Xiangyu In 2025 China Energy Research Society Doctoral Dissertation Incentive Program

Dr. Meng Xiangyu's doctoral dissertation on "Wideband Oscillation Mechanism Analysis and Mitigation Measures for Multi-Train Grid-Connected Systems in Electrified Railways" has been selected for the 2025 China Energy Research Society (CERS) Doctoral Dissertation Incentive Program. The paper, supervised by Prof. Liu Zhigang, was recognized among 22 national winners for its innovative research in electrified railway power system stability.

Established in 1981, CERS is a national academic non-profit organization under the China Association for Science and Technology. The incentive program aims to support young researchers in energy innovation through rigorous evaluation processes.

Dr. Meng's research on train-grid system stability yielded significant academic outputs, including 1 ESI Hot Paper and 5 SCI Zone 1 publications in IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics and IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification. His achievements also include the university's outstanding doctoral dissertation award and the EITRT 2021 Best Paper Award.
